The Winslow Township Board of Fire Commissioners is again asking for your support in a special Election on Sat. Feb 15th at CCU Church on Sicklerville Rd., for a bond referendum to build a new Fire District building in Sicklerville. The bond is for $6.5 million, but the tax impact to most residents will be less than 3 cents per day or about $10.50 per year. This building program is important to provide better facilities for the firefighters who protect our homes and property in Winslow Township. The new building will be on land donated to the Fire District on Williamstown Road across from Mongans.
You can see more information on the building program on the Winslow Township web site at www.winslowtownship.com The Winslow Fire Department was recently evaluated by the Insurance Services Organization and received upgraded ratings for their capabilities. This has resulted in improving their approval rating in Sicklerville from a 5 rating to a 4 rating (lower is better). What does this mean for Oak Forest? All residents should contact their home insurance company and ask them for a new rate based on the ISO rating. This should save you a noticeable amount of money and offset ANY minor tax increase from the building bond.
Please help the firefighters protect our homes by voting YES for the new Fire District building on Feb. 15th at CCU Church on Sicklerville Rd. Also please remember to vote for Fire Commissioners and the District Budget. All information is on the Winslow Township website.
